How BIM routes your enquiry

Published · By BIM Properties team · 4 min read

What happens after you send an enquiry through our website, from the reference in your acknowledgement to the area specialist who replies and the office that keeps watch.

When you send us an enquiry, you are trusting us with your time and your plans. It is fair to want to know what happens next. This article explains the path your enquiry takes inside BIM, who sees it and what you can expect from us.

You get a reference straight away

As soon as your enquiry arrives, we send you an acknowledgement email. It includes a reference for your enquiry. Keep it handy. If you call, write or follow up later, quoting the reference lets anyone at BIM find your enquiry at once, without asking you to repeat yourself.

If the acknowledgement does not arrive, check your spam or junk folder first. If it is not there either, the email address may have been mistyped, so it is worth getting in touch through our contact page.

Matching you to an area specialist

Abu Dhabi is a city of very different neighbourhoods, and good advice depends on knowing them well. Rather than passing your enquiry to whoever happens to be free, we match it to an area specialist.

The match is based on two things: the area you are interested in and the service you need. Someone looking to rent in one community, an owner wanting their villa managed in another and a buyer considering an apartment elsewhere each need a different kind of help. The specialist chosen is the person on our team who works that area and handles that kind of request.

The specialist then accepts the enquiry and takes ownership of it. From that point you have one named person to deal with, who knows your brief and keeps track of it.

The office keeps an eye on it

Your enquiry is never left with one person and forgotten. Our office team can see every open enquiry and who is handling it. If a specialist cannot take an enquiry, or has to hand it back, the office is told and passes it to someone else, so it does not sit waiting.

This oversight matters most on busy days, when a specialist may be out at viewings. It means your enquiry keeps moving even when the person handling it is tied up.

A reply within one business day

We aim to reply to every enquiry within one business day. The first reply usually confirms what you are looking for, asks any questions needed to fill gaps in the brief and sets out the next step, whether that is a shortlist of homes, a visit to your property or a call to talk things through.

A fast reply is not always the full answer. Finding the right home or the right tenant can take time. What we commit to is that you hear from a real person promptly and know who is looking after you.

What the specialist needs from you

You can help us help you by being specific. For a rental search, tell us your areas, budget, move-in date and must-haves. For an owner, tell us about the property, whether it is empty or let and what you would like us to do. For a purchase, tell us how you plan to buy and what you are hoping to find. The more we know, the more useful the first reply will be.

How to follow up

If you have not heard from us within one business day, or you want to add something to your enquiry, get in touch through our contact page and quote your reference. It lets us find your enquiry straight away and pass your message to the specialist handling it.

If your plans change, or you have found what you were looking for, please let us know as well. It helps us keep our records accurate and means we will not contact you about something you no longer need.
